Forest_boundary.kml
This KML dataset provides authoritative forest boundary delineations for Al-Baha Region, Saudi Arabia, developed through a hybrid methodology combining Sentinel-2 satellite imagery (10m resolution) with ground truthing using Trimble Geo7X GPS (±1m accuracy) by the National Center for Vegetation Cover (NCVC) in 2023. The file contains polygon features with embedded attributes including forest names, area in hectares, survey dates, and governance authorities, styled for visualization with healthy forests in green (#4CAF50) and degraded areas in yellow (#FFEB3B). With ±5m positional accuracy in verified areas and complete coverage of NCVC-designated forests, this CC-BY 4.0 licensed data supports conservation planning, Google Earth visualization, and GIS analysis through Python (geopandas) or web applications (Leaflet/Google Maps API), though some coastal boundaries may require tidal adjustments.
