FAO-NCVC Data Repository is a collaborative effort of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the Saudi National Center for Vegetation Cover and Combating Desertification (NCVC). The repository provides access to geospatial datasets to support sustainable management of rangelands, forests, and national parks, and to guide efforts to address land degradation and combat desertification.
This collaboration is developed in the context of the Sustainable Rural Agricultural Development (SRAD) Project, executed by FAO and the Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture (MoEWA).
SRAD project includes a component on natural resources management, which is implemented in collaboration with NCVC and whose goal is to strengthen KSA capacity to manage and conserve vegetation and natural resources and protect of the environment.
