Field Survey of Plant Species Diversity in Albaha

This dataset captures plant species diversity across the Albaha region, derived from intensive fieldwork conducted between January–June 2024. It documents 7 key species (Aloe, Juniperus, Olea, Tamarix, Vachellia, Ziziphus, Albahah) alongside rare flora, with geospatial and ecological attributes. Data includes GPS coordinates, species abundance, habitat classifications (e.g., mountainous zones, wadis), and conservation statuses. Collected using standardized quadrat sampling and GPS mapping, this dataset supports biodiversity conservation, ecological research, and sustainable land-use planning. Managed by FAO-KSA in collaboration with the Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture (MoEWA), it offers granular insights into Albaha’s unique ecosystems, aiding policymakers, researchers, and environmental NGOs.
