Total_Biomass_points_Baljurashi.geojson
This GeoJSON dataset contains georeferenced point measurements of Total Biomass for the Baljurashi area in Al Baha Region, Saudi Arabia. The data were produced under the FAO–NCVC collaboration on Forest and Vegetation Cover Monitoring (2025).
Each point represents a sampled location with calculated Total Biomass values (tonnes) combining above-ground and below-ground biomass components derived from field measurements and allometric equations. The coordinates (x, y) are in geographic projection (EPSG:4326).
The dataset supports biomass estimation, carbon stock mapping, and vegetation productivity analysis in mountainous ecosystems of southwestern Saudi Arabia. It contributes to the national vegetation monitoring framework and SDG 15.3.1 land degradation neutrality reporting.
